Outfit, Decor: Airplanes

I have been seriously MIA, and although I've been a terrible blogger ever since I graduated and started working full-time over a year ago, this past month has been in-sane. I traveled to New Orleans for work at the beginning of the month to present two abstracts, completed a third publication, finished my initial application to medical school, went home to CA for a week, watched the boyfriend FINALLY graduate (so thankful to no longer be dating a college boy, haha), and am working weekends to help the boss finish up a grant due next week. But I am alive and have been redecorating the apartment like crazy. It's really no where near where I want it to be yet, but it's getting there. :)
Here are two easy outfits I snapped pictures of as well. I am obsessed with comfort, slouch, wrinkles, and ease right now. Also loving bold prints and of course I can't say no to a polka-dotted see-through top. ;)

First: Rachel Roy dress. Aldo shoes.
Second: Love and Bravery top. BCBG shorts. Christian Louboutin shoes.

Outfits: Yuuwaku

Since the weather has gotten nicer and the sun sets later, I really want to take some outdoor pictures. The area around my apartment is in full bloom! Plus we have a cute tree-lined bike path complete with a babbling brook and little ducklings. But until then, here are some quick and dirty snaps of two outfits.
The first is an awesome striped tunic from American Apparel that I tucked into a pair of buttery leather short shorts. I threw a navy fleece cape over it since there was a bit of a breeze, haha. Second is a knee-length white tube dress plus my monstrous Bebe pumps. Finally, I included a snap of a signed, editioned print that I acquired for my wall. I am obsessed with it and find myself wanting to wear nothing but silk kimonos and delicately ornate headdresses all summer long.

First: American Apparel tunic and cape. Abercrombie shorts. Jessica Simpson shoes.
Second. American Apparel dress. H&M jacket. Bebe shoes.

Outfits, Make-up: Morning After Dark

Springtime is probably one of my favorite parts of living on the East Coast! The boy and I celebrated our second anniversary near the end of March and he got me an amazing Michael Kors gunmetal watch. I've been looking for a mens-style watch since forever and I think this one is a perfect match. :)
I threw a white tee over a metallic tank-dress to enjoy the crazy beautiful weather this weekend! And have been working on achieving a more subtle, messy cat-eyed look with super-long, wispy, outer-corner lashes. For dinner, I slipped into the most comfortable one-sleeved teal jersey dress and layered a red swarovski necklace with my anniversary gift from the boy last year. I hope everyone got some sun this weekend!

First: Gap tee. Aqua dress. Aldo shoes.
Second: ALC dress. Oscar de la Renta shoes.

Outfits: Tell Me

Here are two random outfit pictures from awhile ago that I never got around to posting. This weekend was ah-mazing and I'm dieing for warmer weather but I will seriously miss being able to wear faux fur! However, I am craving delicious springtime additions to my wardrobe...including skintight nudes and fleshy pinks, long flirty lashes, and achieving the perfect soft cat-eyed makeup. I also need to work on color, I've fallen into a fashion blogging coma of blacks, grays, and neutrals...I'm thinking I need to purchase a lime green tube dress to shock me back into wearing color again!
Anyway, I'm feeling somewhat more sane after the relief of scoring well on my mcat (although still one point lower than my sister, haha), delicious strawberry frozen margaritas, anniversary present shopping for the boy, and a taste of beautiful weather! Thanks for reading everyone! Hope you all had wonderful weekends! :)

Outfits: Suviving the Times

I am soooo ready for summer to come again, although I guess the realization that I no longer get to enjoy a 3-month vacation in the sun provides some sort of consolation? On second thought, not really, haha. Anyway, I've pretty much been lazy and dressing for pure comfort. Which fur, silks, and shirts as dresses are pretty much perfect for! Other things great for comfort and laziness include my incredibly soft, cream rosette quilt from Anthropologie, a new flat screen, and a PS3, haha. I have some other outfit pictures I realized I never got around to posting so expect another post soon!! Thanks for reading guys! :)

First: Secondhand shirt. H&M skirt. Topshop shoes. Anthropologie coat.
Second: Elizabeth and James shirt from Revolve. American Apparel socks. Bebe shoes.

Outfits: Never Chasing Pavement

I've weirdly been more into interior decorating than fashion as of late. Anthropologie's home section has pretty much been my favorite new online shopping site, haha. You know there's something wrong when I'd rather buy a new arm chair for the living room rather than a sick pair of thigh-high boots! Anywayy, here are two outfits I managed to snap pictures of lately when I wasn't dreaming about curtains and area rugs.
First I layered my AA mesh dress beneath one of my favorite little party dresses, slipped on some poka-dotted knee socks and platforms for a quick dinner. And second, I went for comfort with a voluminous Elizabeth and James safari shirt from Revolve, and my trusty purple pumps that haven't gotten much love as of late. I hope everyone's staying warm and making it through the winter! :)

Outfit, Make-up: 2010

OHHHH snapp, 2009 is over (in less than 6 hours)! It's been a a pretty amazing year and I just want to thank everyone who continues to visit and comment. I know I haven't had as much time to blog...so it really blows me away that I continue to get so many positive comments on my posts! :) Have a wonderful New Year's!!

Outfit: See-Through

I received this see-through mesh dress from AA and have been trying to figure out different ways of layering it. The easiest would have to be baring it all and hiding my clearly exposed bra under piles of necklaces (the mess of chains I also had on apparently become invisible while swinging, haha) plus pants since my also see-through panties would probably get me arrested for public indecency.
Anywayy, I've been busy with work, work, and traveling. I'm not even sure when the last weekend was that I actually spent in my apartment in Boston! And staying at the hospital until 10 pm following interns around for a research study is awkward and tiring, haha. Although now I actually know what real medical interns and residents do besided what I've learned from Scrubs, ER, and Greys Anatomy. FYI...not NEARLY as cool, haha. Hopefully I'll get to post again soon,...thinking of doing a blog give-away!!

Outfits: Heartbreaker

Hooray for the holidays!! I can't believe next week is Thanksgiving when it feels like Halloween was just last weekend (I drew a nose and whiskers on my face and claimed I was a kitty...then later drunkenly drew a nose and a spot over my boyfriend's eye and claimed he was a puppy, haaa).
Anywayyy...I couldn't help but grab these awesome charcoal disco pants, it's like owning a pair of just plain sexy. I paired it with a loose, cream blouse with just a few more buttons undone than appropriate, ha. I also recently snagged the metallic, armored dress below...paired it with tights and a fuzzy cardigan for a chilly night out this past weekend.
Hope you're all doing well! I'm going home to California for Thanksgiving next week and I'm already getting hungry, haha. :)

Outfit: Hypnotized

Temperatures haven't fully plummeted yet (it was a crazzyy mid-60s today), but they've gotten just cold enough for me to justify pulling my black faux fur coat off of my bed (I've been using it as a blanket, haa). I got it three sizes too big for maximum cuddliness. The only negative is when random people ask me if it's real...ugh, gross. Anywayy, wore it with knee high socks, and a crimson velvet bodysuit.
